Overview

Komline-FluidQuip Filtration Centrifuges combine centrifugal separation with internal washing stages for efficient liquid-solid separation. The equipment is designed for fiber washing and dewatering in corn wet milling and for solids-extraction applications involving fibers or crystals.

The FQ-FC2000 provides two internal washing stages for lower-capacity or minimal-washing duties. The patented FQ-FC3000 uses a horizontal cylindrical screen bowl and configurable counter-current washing stages for heavy-duty continuous operation.

Operating Principle

Feed enters the rotating cylindrical screen bowl, where centrifugal force drives liquid through the slotted screens while solids remain inside the bowl. Internal counter-current washing stages displace soluble material, and the conveyor moves the washed and dewatered solids toward discharge.
