Operating Principle

Slurry enters each cyclonette tangentially and forms a vortex. Denser starch particles move outward and leave through the underflow, while lighter proteins and solubles migrate toward the centre and leave through the overflow. Multiple counter-current stages progressively wash and refine the starch.
