Overview

The Komline-Sanderson Gravabelt® Gravity Belt Thickener is designed for high-volume sludge thickening with low polymer consumption, low maintenance and long service life. Dilute sludge is conditioned and distributed across a porous belt, where free water drains by gravity.

Patented Roto-Kone® elements lift and turn the solids to improve drainage, control the sludge layer and reduce rag buildup. The result is consistent, pumpable thickened sludge for downstream digestion, hauling or mechanical dewatering.

Operating Principle

Polymer-conditioned sludge flows onto a moving porous belt. Free water drains through the belt while Roto-Kone elements lift, turn and redistribute the solids. The thickened, pumpable sludge is discharged at the end of the belt for further processing or transport.
